When it comes to cell phones you are probably thinking about the new Iphone 3g or maybe the LG rumor, but are these phones all that good? Or has the market hyped them up to the point where we must have these phones? Will they lose their value by tomorrow? Or are they a once in a lifetime thing that we must all have. The new gagdget out there right now is definitely the Iphone 3g. It has swiped the market and is killing the current competition.
There are tons of new touch screen phones out there. For example the Blackberry Storm can do pretty much everything the Iphone can. At the end of the day, are all these phones just hyped up? I remember when back in the day I had my Nextel I30 and everyone thought it was the best thing out there. No one thought that there would be touch screen phones, where you could type on the screen, or whether you would be able to watch videos online. These were nothing, but dreams to consumers. While technological advancements are stunning us all the time, one must wonder whether we have hit the end point or whether technology will keep amazing us like it has been doing for many years.
Then one must wonder if these phones are really all that great compared to the current competition. The Iphone 3g is an example. Most phones out there right now th can pretty much do everything the Iphone 3g can do, so why do we still continue to choose phones like the Iphone 3g?
Well there are a couple reasons why we keep buying new phones that pop out. The main reason is phones bring attention to you. If you were one of the first people to get the iphone chances are you got a lot of attention simply because everyone wanted one. If you asked a hundred people why they wanted the iPhone chances are they wouldn’t know why they wanted it. The key is advertisement. Advertisement lures consumers into a product that they only know a little about. Most consumers won’t even bother to research a product when it comes out. So next time you see a product on the Television, don’t drive to the store right away. Google the product, see what other users have to say about the product, don’t take a gamble and buy a product that is hiding behind its advertising.
